Europeanization of National Law: Achievements, Problems, Challenges
VMU Faculty of Law kindly invites to attend the International Scientific-Practical Conference the goal of which is to discuss and evaluate challenges faced by Lithuanian legal system since the 1st of May 2004 when the country became a full-pledged member state of the European Union.
Speakers are invited to share best practices and to exchange views on influence of fundamental principles, legal acts of the European Union, jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights on individual branches of national law and legal development of national states.
The participants of the Conference are expected not only debate about influence of the law of the European Union on Lithuanian national legal system but also discuss experience of Lithuanian and foreign national courts in application of European Union law, to reveal existing problematic aspects, conditions to apply to the Court of Justice of the European Union for preliminary ruling.
The participants of the Conference are encouraged to share insights on influence of jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union and national courts on national concept of justice, to assess the impact of the European Union law on national legal system seen in the historical retrospective.
Lithuanian and foreign legal practitioners as well as scientists who conduct legal and interdisciplinary research are invited to attend the event.
